Default Idea for community work

I know this is not really a suggestion for the game, but it is ABOUT the game.

Before i give the idea, i want to give you a background: I saw my brother playing WoW and he has some Mod that allows his character to appear in any armor, weapon.

So...

The idea: That someone make a database [sort of] that allows a character to sample armors[in any color], weapons, etc. for that profession.

I know someone is going to say, why don't i make it then?
Answer: I can't, i don't have the skills to, i just thought it would be a good idea to share.

Question: How would it function?

I am not sure, it obviously would have to be an application outside the Guildwars client as GW doesn't support in game mods.

In my opinion it would look something like this:

Legend:
v= drop down window
----- = slider

v: profession [Warrior, monk, ranger, etc.]
----- : height
v: face
v: hair style
-----: color hair
-----: skin color

v: Helmet [Every model of helmets in the game available to that profession]
v: Dye for helmet [the basic ones as all the color combinations might be hard]
v: Chest [Every model...]
v: Dye for chest [the basic ones...]
v: Legs
v: dye for legs
v: shoes
v: dye for shoes
v: hands
v: dye for hands
v: shields/focus
v: weapons

[ ]
[This space reserved ]
[for your final character ]
[ ]

This is just a basic idea, Im sure it would be different slightly.

Purpose: Well, some people like to mix their armor but lack 1) storage space 2) enough money to get EVERY single piece of armor out there.

Final thoughts: Yes, i know that this seems too big a task for one person, or even a team to do. I thought i would just put the idea out there, would make for an awesome community work if it was ever made O_O.

--------- I was not sure to where to put this thread, but in my opinion it should be here----

it'd make everyone in the game more unique and not looking like everyone else and people could show differance from each other.
